Last year I had to spend six and a half weeks in hospital after breaking my left femur in five places during a car accident. I was lucky to escape from it with my life, and for that I am incredibly thankful. While I was there I was looked after by all of the doctors and nurses and it was not such as bad an experience as you would have thought it would be. The nurses were always asking if there was anything that I needed and bringing me my medicine and the meals they made three times a day. They made the point of making sure I ate plenty of magnesium rich foods as they said that these were vital in helping repair the damage to my bone and without them it would take much longer to heal. I have no idea how true that was but I have a feeling it was just a way for them to get me to eat my greens.
